At the airport in Turin it’s now open Caffetteria Torinese, the new brand of Lavazza, a 90 m² space imagined as a small embassy of the turinese style.
Designed by our studio, Caffetteria Torinese reflects the typical personality of the torinese bars, where the key words are tradition and innovation, declined in a space whose architectonic characteristics mirror the refinement of the city.
The idea was born as a concept of the future Made in Italy caffetteria, a 4.0 Caffetteria, that can offer a real coffee experience for a quality break, thanks to excellent products served in a refined environment, cool and homy.
The space winks to the old coffee roastery both in the color palette and in the rough finishing on the walls, but the choice of the exposed installation, together with the different kinds of sitting, creates an innovative place, suitable for curious young customers, always travelling.
Finishes and materials used for furniture are similar to the ones used in historical caffetterias, though there are also different characteristics to welcome the customers of the restaurant Ingredienti and/or other formats.
On the floor there are ceramic rugs and technical flooring that create a “terrace” effect with geometric pattern, used also in the counter area, in honour of the cafés of the city’s tradition, like Caffè Torino in San Carlo square.
Inside the caffetteria, sittings and tables alternate, leaving wide space to the communication of the product. A portion of the counter, defined as “experiential corner”, is completely dedicated to the tasting of the filtered coffees and moka.
The caffetteria 4.0 is a hybrid space where you can rest, eat and work, a cosy, democratic and social environment, open to all the digital nomads.
