HUB – STAY HOTEL
Client Verbano 2000
Should I stay or should I go? The question that tormented The Clash is on the lips of visitors at the Stay Hotel too.
Located at a key junction on road links between Milan and Switzerland, the hotel makes an ideal stopover for workers, families or even “hit and run” tourists who want to stay at this surprising, traveler-friendly place.
The facility’s calm yet dynamic atmosphere is an invitation to stop and rest, as suggested by the neon sign wall decoration.
Twenty-two of the hotel’s 33 rooms have been radically renovated to expand the range of services on offer: in addition to traditional single and double rooms, the hotel now has Studio rooms and Active rooms which, being more spacious, can convert into offices, conference rooms or gyms.
The Stay Hotel’s hybrid approach is at its most evident in the first-floor Hub, a space that changes identity during the day: in the morning, it is a breakfast room; then, it becomes a work area offering privacy thanks to its soundproofed curtains, before later transforming once again into a great place to grab a quick meal, evening drink or stage a public event.
Exploiting the dualities of slow/fast, dynamism/ downtime, and fun/sophistication, the hotel is not just a hub but also a learning space.
