In the Costa / Saragozza neighbourhood, located close to the center of Bologna and which includes the entire territory from old town to the border with the near Casalecchio di Reno municipality, an apartment block built in the Sixties rises in a very peaceful area.
The regular mesh of the structure allowed the realisation of a strip-out, an operation of complete renovation and demolition of the interior walls of the flat, in order to have a custom-made house that presents itself as a sartorial suit that fits perfectly on the customer’s needs.
The structure gives to the house a function that is similar to the one of the square, a place of sociality and welcome, where you can exchange life stories during dinners and cultural events with a breathtaking view on the hills and the San Luca shrine.
The open space presents fluid environments without stiff separations, with majestic and tastefully decorated spaces; the wide living space is made more luminous through bright colours and warm and cosy materials that reflect tastes and desires of the owner.
The walls are minimised, therefore the environments seem to blend and flow smoothly while you walk down the house.
Eventually, we choose to maintain the original pillar, that divides the living area from the sleeping one, around which the whole house revolves.
