CASUAL ECLETTICO MILANO

Within Milan’s vibrant urban landscape, Casual Eclettico Milano emerges as a hotel that redefines the hospitality experience. Located in the Corso Buenos Aires area, this interior design project by Rizoma Architetture goes beyond the concept of accommodation, offering instead an immersive journey into narrative design.

The project’s identity is rooted in a compelling dialogue between past and present: the refined elegance of Art Nouveau (Liberty style) intertwines with the energy and dynamism of 1980s pop and disco culture. Set within an urban context shaped by nineteenth-century buildings and lively nightlife districts, Casual Milano presents itself externally as a monumental black box, its façade entirely wrapped in black. Inside, however, guests are welcomed into an explosion of colour, with a bold palette of tones and patterns expressed through vinyl surfaces, wallpapers and details inspired by the pop aesthetics of a decade that challenged conventions and celebrated creative freedom.

Rizoma Architetture’s design vision unfolds across the hotel’s 43 spaces, where each room becomes a self-contained universe of design. Conceived as individual works of art, the rooms are defined by dynamic lighting, vibrant colours, iconic details and bespoke thematic wallpapers that pay tribute to Milanese creativity and design culture. The deliberate juxtaposition of seemingly distant styles — the graceful curves and floral motifs of Liberty design alongside bold geometry and pop references — creates a layered, scenographic effect.

Casual Eclettico Milano is not simply a hotel, but a project that challenges the conventional paradigms of hospitality interiors, positioning itself as a visual manifesto for a new Milan. A city of contrasts and vitality finds its reflection in the eclectic design of a hotel that celebrates the coexistence of styles, eras and cultural influences.
