21 HOS

Located in Città Studi, a few minutes from Milan Central Station, in a strategic position easily connected to all points of interest in the city, 21 HOS | House of Stories was born with the idea of reinventing the concept of hospitality, offering a diverse and exclusive offer of experiences: from modern hotel rooms to long-term hospitality solutions, up to customized formulas for smart working.

21HOS is presented as a hybrid space designed to overcome the closed and traditional formula of hotels, creating a living community and without barriers, so not the usual hotel, but a place of connection “in the making” thought in the light of changes in personal and professional lifestyles; a “home” capable not only of hosting travelers and students, but of becoming an accessible landmark to the neighborhood and the city.

The facility, for which Rizoma Architectures realized the concept of the interior design project by participating in the co – design of the final phase, offers 120 rooms for short and long stays, with a total of 157 beds, on a gross area of about 5 thousand square meters. The garden, the green heart of the residence, on the other hand, covers about 1,000 square meters, part of which is landscaped with seating and tables for outdoor living that can also be enjoyed by citizens.

The triple-height lobby is the centerpiece of the intervention, the hinge between the old and new buildings, the space overlooked by all community activities, the meeting place open to the garden. A fluid space as an extension of the urban public space, an open and hyper-connected, flexible community where to organize exhibitions, meetings, able to offer coworking and study spaces, event spaces and live music concerts, within a living room characterized by the warm and Mediterranean colors, as by the practical and functional charm of the furniture designed and made by the Italian brand LAGO.

The architectural project was carried out by RMA.
