LUGANO DANTE

The LuganoDante is conveniently located in the city’s historic center, within walking distance of Piazza Riforma and City Hall, and less than 10 minutes from the LAC and the beautiful lakefront. An important hub for those who are in town for leisure or business, a reference point that can offer a temporary stop-over or a pleasant stay, taking advantage of the comfort of the more intimate spaces of the rooms or the versatility and functionality of the spaces for common activities. For these reasons, the Concept Design developed for both types of spaces is aimed at defining a more recognizable character for a place that is open to the city and can present itself as an urban hub.

The Lugano Dante is an empathetic hotel, where guests, tourists, and citizens can attend a conference, attend an event, spend a day working or relaxing, enjoy a meal or indulge in an aperitif in a cozy, eclectic, surprising place, thanks to the Maci brothers’ new Flamel restaurant, a new F&B offering within the lobby and dining room spaces, conceived as a single free-flowing space.

The space located on the second floor, now dedicated to conferences and events, is being reimagined as the hotel’s Creative Box, a place for even temporary work equipped with a winter garden around which spaces for business meetings or conference activities are developed, as well as more informal spaces where one can have fun playing ping-pong.

The hotel rooms are divided according to the type of intervention: 43 will undergo a substantial revamp that excludes bathroom remodeling, while 26 rooms are the subject of a completely new overall design. The total of 69 rooms has been divided, based on expressed needs, into 6 types of offerings and accommodations: single room, twin room, double room, superior double room, studio suite and a two-level room renamed “loft.”

The Lugano Dante is a unique place, to be discovered 365 days a year, following its innumerable mutations, as the seasons change the landscape of the lake and city mountains.The Lugano Dante will be philologically adaptive, empathetic, moving from “place to be” to “place for being.”
