CX Naples: Interior Design as an Expression of Hybrid Living

CX Naples is far more than an interior design project: it is a fluid ecosystem where living, studying, working, and socializing become part of a single narrative. Designed by Rizoma Architetture, the project radically reinterprets the concept of hybrid space, shaping a multifunctional environment in which three distinct yet interconnected identities coexist and enhance one another: Hospitality, F&B, and Co-working.

The co-working area openly looks toward the future, featuring a flexible system of enclosed offices, adaptable workstations, and reconfigurable meeting rooms designed to respond to ever-evolving ways of working. In dialogue with this contemporary dimension, the café — managed by a local business — introduces a more domestic and welcoming atmosphere, offering an authentic experience open not only to guests but to the entire city.

The hospitality areas and shared spaces position themselves somewhere in between: here, tradition and innovation intertwine through a dynamic design language where identity-driven elements coexist with pop-inspired aesthetics, reinforcing a strong sense of belonging. Iconic references to symbolic figures of Neapolitan culture are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, alongside playful details such as neon signs featuring local dialect expressions that capture the city’s authentic and “naturally social” spirit.

Interior design thus becomes the tool through which this complexity is orchestrated, articulated through an extraordinary variety of spaces and functions: gym, cinema, communal kitchen, auditorium, silent study rooms, lounges, gaming area, private hotel lobbies, and an always-open café. Every space is conceived to be crossed, experienced, and constantly reinterpreted, contributing to the creation of a fluid and open system capable of accommodating multiple and simultaneous uses.

The hotel itself reflects this hybrid logic, offering a range of room typologies — suites, doubles, twins, and dorms — some featuring panoramic terraces with different views across the city: on one side, the traditional landscape of the Gulf of Naples; on the other, the contemporary and iconic mural dedicated to Maradona. Within this context, the “Mystery Room” stands out as a unique space where artistic and graphic interventions created by local creatives offer an experimental and immersive interpretation of Naples’ eclectic soul.

From a chromatic and material perspective, the interior design develops through an intense and distinctive palette: deep, enveloping sea blue dominates the spaces, complemented by references to Mediterranean ceramics and accents of yellow and orange that introduce energy and brightness.

With CX Naples, Rizoma Architetture creates a balance between local identity and contemporary vision, giving shape to a space that is at once welcoming and open, recognizable and inclusive. A place where every detail contributes to building atmosphere, and where hybridity is not merely a design concept, but a tangible, vibrant, everyday experience.

Because, ultimately, “Napule è mille culure” — Naples is a thousand colors.
