Reusable materials and parametric design, key words for this new space built in record time (20 days for the structure, 2 nights for kitchen assembly) that houses Alce Nero’s Berberè restaurant inside the Organic Pavilion.
The architectural concept perfectly embraces the message of EXPO2015, and once the exhibition is over, the structure will be disassembled for reuse, transforming into something else, making sure nothing is wasted at all.
The original project is studied with parametric design techniques: even very complex geometries are built through distribution and modification in space according to parameters: thus the circular and semi-transparent structure of the kitchen is born. Wood and plasterboard, dry technologies, and lightweight structures that are easily transportable and reusable characterize the design, where the transparency effect stems from the primary need for an open kitchen.
In the corner with the most visibility are the pizza makers and dough plans: cornerstones of the Berberè Black Elk philosophy. Layout, internal communication, graphics and brand identity: Communicattive.
