CASA D is a semi-detached house built of wood that reinterprets the typical “manor house” of the Emilian plain: it has a simple, compact and rigorous building body, with proportions that are as balanced as possible, both in the height and symmetry of the two roof pitches and in the size and positioning of the holes in the four fronts.
CASA D is a Class A+ building with an energy consumption of less than 20kWh/sqm, thanks to the super-insulated envelope with 20 cm of wood fiber and 22 cm in the roof. Wood porches in the south and west fronts characterize the two residential units that 6 months of the year double the size of the living areas by opening to the outdoors.
