COHOUSING SAN GIORGIO

The project involves the construction of an 820-square-meter structure for residential use within a total lot size of 3,500 square meters located near the Po di Primaro.

The project is in the form of an urban redevelopment and involves the demolition of two existing buildings in a state of disrepair and the construction of a new building, a building intended for garages, and exterior arrangements.

The project had as its initial phase a procedure open to discussion with families, referred to as “charette,” which ensured continuous and constant participation in the choices made by the technical team.

Cohousing is a housing reality that is already present in several Italian and foreign cities and consists of the coexistence, within the same structure, of spaces for common daily activities and private housing units, the latter being of a size adapted to the most private needs of each individual family.

The construction of the building is planned with wooden structure using X-LAM panel technology, the compact volume of the building allows for a good S/V ratio, while the design and plant solutions adopted allow for the calculation of a global performance index Eptot (heating+hot water) of 2.2 kWh/sqm, placing the building in Class A4.
